Giovani Lo Celso is considered one of the best young midfielders in Argentina. He started his career with the Argentine club, Rosario Central. His great performances with the club eventually caught the eyes of PSG scouts and he joined the French club in the summer of 2016. He managed to break into PSG senior team in the 2017-18 season as Unai Emery trusted the young midfielder even for UEFA Champions League matches. Best Known For

Being one of the promising midfield prospects to emerge from Argentina. He has also justified all the hype with his consistent performances in the midfield for Paris Saint-Germain, Rosario Central, and Real Betis.

First Soccer Match

In July 2015, he made his league debut for Rosario Central in a match against Vélez Sarsfield. The match ended in a limp goalless draw.

In April 2017, he made his first appearance for Paris Saint-Germain in a Coupe de France quarter-final game against US Avranches. He was sent in the 63rd minute for Adrien Rabiot in PSG‘s 4-0 win.

He made his first international appearance for the Argentina national team in a match against Russia, which ended in a 1-0 win.

  2. He scored his first professional goal for Rosario Central in a match against Colón in February 2016. He scored the first goal in his side’s 3-0 win.
  3. In July 2016, it was announced that Giovani had joined Paris Saint-Germain after the French club decided to pay £8.5 million for his services. He signed a 5-year deal with the club and was loaned back to Rosario Central for the remainder of the season.
  4. In January 2018, he scored his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain in Coupe de la Ligue match against Rennes. It was the first goal in his side’s thrilling 3-2 win.

  6. He scored his first international goal in Argentina’s friendly match against Guatemala in September 2018.

  8. During his stint with PSG, he managed to win a Ligue 1 title, 2 Coupe de France cups, Coupe de la Ligue, and 2 Trophée des Champions cups.
