- After their graduation from the Australian National University in 2003, Hannah had worked in a few bookshops in Canberra. They had later worked as a projectionist at an outdoor cinema in the city of Darwin. After a while, they had moved to the eastern coast of Australia and had worked there for about 2 years picking vegetables and planting trees before they were eventually rendered homeless.
- Their big break came in 2006 when, during a visit to their sister in Adelaide, they had decided to participate in the preliminary round of Raw Comedy, a competition for emerging Australian stand-up comedians conducted annually by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. They, unexpectedly, progressed through the heats and eventually won the competition.
- By virtue of this win, they were sent to participate in So You Think You’re Funny?, an annual stand-up comedy competition for new acts at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival. They had stood 2nd at that competition.
- They were diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and autism in 2017.
