- She published her book titled When Life Gives You Pears: The Healing Power of Family, Faith, and Funny People on October 1, 2019. Her book debuted on The New York Times bestseller list upon its release.
- She was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor known as papilloma of the choroid plexus on April 14, 2017. The tumor turned out to be as big as a pear and was successfully operated on at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai Hospital over a 9-hour-long surgery. Jeannie’s left vocal fold was paralyzed post surgery and she had to undergo type 1 thyroplasty in 2019 to restore her voice.
- She co-wrote several of Jim’s acclaimed comedy specials such as Jim Gaffigan: King Baby (2009), Jim Gaffigan: Mr. Universe (2012), Jim Gaffigan: Obsessed (2014), Jim Gaffigan: Cinco (2017), and Jim Gaffigan: Noble Ape (2018).
