- She made her first theatrical film appearance by playing the role of a store clerk in the 2000 American action film, Romeo Must Die, which is loosely related to William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
- In January 2000, Kandyse McClure made her first TV show appearance as Katherine Ann ‘Kat’ Cabot, the adopted child of white parents, in an episode titled Scott Free of the American-Canadian drama series, Higher Ground. She co-starred in the show alongside Hayden Christensen, Anne Marie Loder, Joe Lando, A. J. Cook, Jorgito Vargas, Jr., Meghan Ory, and Deborah Odell.
