- Ka$hdami was first introduced to music by his father who used to own a studio and also work in the music industry. His father passed away in 2011 after which Ka$hdami and his family moved from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Prince George’s County, Maryland.
- By 2012, he had started making music and sharing it online through ooVoo, a now-defunct video chat and messaging app. When he was about 13 years old, he bought a microphone and started recording music on his mother’s computer.
- In 2018, Ka$hdami released songs titled Kappin Up and Findin’ Out. However, he became demotivated when they did not succeed and decided to take a break from his nascent music career.
- He eventually came into the spotlight in 2020 after Kappin Up gained popularity on TikTok (a globally popular short-form video hosting service). The track blew up further after its associated music video was hosted on WorldStarHipHop, a widely followed content-aggregating video blog.
