- Liam’s father used to make him take up piano lessons despite his disinterest in the instrument. He had started attending classes from the age of 13 but never really mastered the instrument.
- When he was 14, he had started making his own tunes by mixing songs, that he had recorded from the radio, using the pause button on his cassette player.
- He was influenced by hip-hop culture at his high school and had also learned breakdancing with a crew known as The Pure City Breakers. He had soon joined his first band, Cut 2 Kill, but had left the group after witnessing a fight at one of its gigs.
