Maadhavi Latha is an Indian actress and singer who has mainly appeared in Telugu and Tamil language movies. She made her theatrical film debut in 2007 and since then she has appeared in numerous films. - After the lack of success of her 3rd and 4th films, she had gone to the United Kingdom to pursue a degree in fashion design. However, she returned to Hyderabad without completing the course to re-start her film career.
- In an interview, she claimed that her first director in films had tried to make her a victim of the casting couch. She stated that after she resisted him, the director tried to mess her career up. She staunchly believes that the director’s stature was the reason that she did not get too many acting offers after that, despite receiving good reviews for her acting in her first 2 films.
- After working in Telugu films all her career, Maadhavi got her first break in a Tamil film in 2015 with the multi-starrer action comedy film Aambala. Thereafter, she did a couple of more Telugu films in 2015.
- In April 2018, Maadhavi was arrested by the Hyderabad police for staging a silent protest in front of the Film Chamber office. She was protesting against fellow actress Sri Reddy for her abusive comments against popular local actor Pawan Kalyan.
- In the 2019 assembly elections in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Maadhavi had contested from the Guntur West constituency. After filing her nomination, she stated that she had always wanted to be a politician and had ambitions of becoming a national leader. However, she polled only 1% of the total votes and lost miserably.
