1. He was nearly broke before he landed the role on Glee. In fact, he was all packed and set to move back to his hometown. While auditioning for his role, he lied about his age and stated that he was only 19.
2. He was fond of animals, especially dogs. He owned a Blue Heeler named Hank.
3. Mark had studied ornithology and could hence, identify almost any native bird in North America.
4. When Mark was studying in high school, he became a part of the wrestling team.
5. In December 2015, Mark was arrested in Los Angeles at his home on suspicion of possessing several videos and photos showing child p*rnography. He was later released on $20,000 bail. In May 2016, he was charged with “receiving and possessing child pornography” after more than 50,000 images of child p*rnography were found on his computer and USB flash drives. In September 2017, he pled guilty to possession of child p*rnography and his sentencing date was set for March 7, 2018. However, on January 30, 2018, Mark passed away by suicide by hanging in Los Angeles.
