Michy Batshuayi made scouts from the leading European clubs take notice of his considerable talent in the 2013-14 season. He had managed to score 21 goals, which helped him finish as the 2nd best goalscorer after Lokeren‘s Hamdi Harbaoui in the league. His great performances for Standard Liège helped him secure a move to Marseille. His instinctive finishing and attacking movement at Marseille got him a transfer to Chelsea. However, at Chelsea, he wasn’t able to establish himself in the starting line-up with different managers finding it difficult to place their trust in the young striker.
