Mina Sue Choi is a South Korean model and beauty pageant contestant who won the Miss Earth title in November 2022. It was the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth pageant and the first one held in the standard format since 2019 – the competition was held virtually in 2020 and 2021 due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Mina’s win was historic because this was the first time a South Korean contestant had won the Miss Earth pageant. This was also South Korea’s first victory ever in any of the ‘Big Four’ international beauty pageants – Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth. At the 2022 Miss Earth beauty pageant, Mina also won multiple awards during the competition’s preliminary events – 1st place in the swimsuit competition (Asia & Oceania), 1st place in the beachwear competition (Air Group), 1st place in the long gown competition (Air Group), and 3rd place in the resort wear competition (Air Group).

- Born to parents of Korean origin in Sydney, Australia, Mina lived there until she was about 7 years old. This gave her a good grasp of the English language in her formative years. Over the next few years, owing to her parents’ work, she lived in South Korea, Canada, the United States, and China.
- She first came into the spotlight in October 2021 when she won the Miss Gyeonggi Incheon title – a regional preliminary competition of the Miss Korea beauty pageant. - The following month, Mina finished as the 1st runner-up at the 2021 edition of the Miss Korea beauty pageant – the national beauty pageant in South Korea.
