Mongraal Facts
- He had been interested in video games from a very young age and had started his competitive career by playing first-person shooter video games like Halo and Call of Duty, by the time he had turned 10.
- Mongraal first got into playing Fortnite in 2017 when he was involved in a ‘Fortnite Battle Royale’ game with friends. He had become so interested in the game that he had turned professional in July 2018, even dropping out of school to pursue his passion.
- In April 2018, he was interviewed by the BBC as he was the number one British Fortnite Player. He had mentioned in the interview that his parents were quite supportive of him and his gaming ambitions. He was getting good grades in school as well at that time.
- Mongraal was once disallowed from participating in Summer Skirmish, a weekly Fortnite tournament because he was too young. This had caused a minor controversy with fans arguing that he was one of the best competitive Fortnite players in the world and his age should not be held against him.
- In July 2019, he had stood 13th in the Fortnite Solo World Cup, earning USD 225k. He had also stood 6th at the 2019 Fortnite Duos World Cup.
- In July 2020, he had hosted and administered a Fortnite solo tournament called The Mongraal Cup. It was held in Europe and had seen more than 500k registrations. A funny incident during the tournament had involved another popular Fortnite streamer Benjyfishy who, while obliterating his opponents, had also eliminated his mother, Anne Fish, a popular eSports mentor, from the tournament. He only realized this when her name popped up on the screen.
