Motoki Maxted Facts

  1. Before he was born, doctors gave him a life expectancy of only 20%.
  2. At birth, he was so big that a nurse told his mom he looked like a sumo wrestler.
  3. Motoki lived in Japan for around 3 years before moving back to the United States.
  4. He was bullied while in Japan, and a classmate even called him “skinny foreigner.” Luckily, after explaining the situation to his teacher, the things changed for the better.
  5. The biggest struggle after he moved to the United States was going to Walmart to buy things, as he had forgotten how to speak English.
  6. He played a lot of baseball and soccer as a kid.
  7. Motoki wanted to become an actor in grade school and began acting in every school play he could.
  8. Motoki is fluent in Japanese and learned to speak Spanish.
  9. He and his siblings made short homemade skits when they were young.
  10. YouTubers Nigahiga and Kevin Jumba were the 1st content creators he saw on YouTube, which motivated him to create videos of his own.
  11. Motoki found his passion for lip syncing when he was 10 years old after he saw the YouTube video for the song titled Numa Numa. Because he was underage at 10 and couldn’t start a YouTube channel, he recorded his 1st videos with his friends on DVD.
