- In 2012, she bagged the Masala Award for “Best Radio Presenter”.
- Nyla Usha worked for around a decade as a radio jockey at Hit 96.7 in Dubai and then made her acting debut in 2013 by playing the role of Chithira (a woman going through an unhappy marriage) in the Malayalam drama film Kunjananthante Kada.
