- He had never thought that he would work in the television industry. He has recalled that his family had wanted him to take up a corporate job before he had joined acting and so he had worked as a customer service manager at a private bank. Puneett has added that it was a grueling 9 to 9 job and was not his kind of work and he had resigned after working for a year and a half.
- Puneett’s brother had inspired him to become an actor.
- He has disclosed that before he became an actor, he used to be overweight and he managed to lose almost 17 to 18 kilograms through sheer hard work, determination, and perseverance that included rigorous training and control of his diet.
- Puneett has considered the good looks of an actor to be essential for him to get accepted in the TV industry as he has experienced that the first thing people there notice is the appearance. He has believed that every actor should be well-groomed and neat.
- In 2019, he began portraying the lead role of Arjun Vankatraman in the TV show Naati Pinky Ki Lambi Love Story whose plot has revolved around the ill-treatment of the heroine due to her short height after she gets married to the tallest person in the family, Arjun. Regarding this issue, Puneett has stated that nobody should be judged on the basis of their height. He has observed that people often suffer from a complex arising from their short stature and they are also mocked by others. He has been proud of the message the program has attempted to deliver on these lines along with the fact that the height or weight of a person does not matter at the end of the day, it is the beauty of the person’s nature and character, that should be given importance.
