Raechelle Banno is an Australian actress, dancer, writer, and model who is best known for playing roles such as Olivia Fraser Richards in the Australian TV soap opera Home and Away (2015-2018) and Atria Nine in the first season of the American sci-fi action TV series Pandora (2019). She has also acted in several short films including Second Best (2016) and Phenomena (2018). She was slated to portray the titular character of Ruby Landry in 4 TV films in 2021 that had been adapted from the late American novelist V. C. Andrews’ The Landry series of novels. The films were named Ruby, Pearl in the Mist, All That Glitters, and Hidden Jewel, the same names as the first 4 novels of the set of 5 novels in the series that were published between 1994 and 1996.

Raechelle Banno Facts

  1. She had started acting and modeling from the age of just 9. Raechelle had been featured in several TV commercials and short films before breaking out with roles in TV series. She had made her debut in an episode of the Australian children’s drama TV series titled In Your Dreams.
  2. Before getting bitten by the acting bug, she had started learning dancing from the age of only 3. In the latter years of her high school, she had participated in hip-hop classes and even used to teach ballet and contemporary dance to 9-12-year-old girls at a dance school.
  3. In 2013, she had written and produced a short film called Exposure. It was directed by her identical twin sister Karina who is also an actress. 7 years later, the sisters had collaborated again, co-directing a short film titled @Bladeroller: Case Unsolved. It was selected for an exhibition at the Sydney Underground Film Festival.
  4. The duo was also one of the 8 finalists at a 2020 concept-pitch competition organized by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA).
