Shakur Stevenson is an American professional boxer who had won all 19 of his professional bouts (9 of them via knockout), as of January 2023. In January 2019, in the 10th professional bout of his career, he won the vacant IBF (International Boxing Federation) Inter-Continental and WBC (World Boxing Council) Continental Americas featherweight titles. In his next bout, in April 2019, he retained the former title and won the vacant WBO (World Boxing Organization)-NABO (North American Boxing Organization) featherweight title. Later, in his next bout, in July 2019, Shakur retained the latter title and in October 2019, he won the vacant WBO featherweight title. In July 2020, he vacated his WBO title without making a single title defense because he had moved up to the super featherweight division. In June 2021, in the 16th professional bout of his career, he won the vacant WBO interim super featherweight title. Shakur won the WBO super featherweight title in October 2021. In his next bout, in April 2022, he retained that title and won the WBC and vacant The Ring (an American boxing magazine) super featherweight titles. Just before his next bout, in September 2022, he missed weight at the official weigh-ins and was stripped of his WBC and WBO titles even though he went on to win the fight by unanimous decision. During the post-fight interview, he announced that he would be switching to the lightweight division henceforth. As of June 2022, Shakur was ranked the world’s best active super featherweight boxer by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, boxrec.com, and ESPN.
