Shane van Gisbergen is a New Zealander racing driver who became the 4th most successful racing driver in the Supercars Championship history with 3 Supercars Championship wins (2016, 2021, 2022), 80 wins, and 46 pole positions. He has been racing in the Number 97 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 car for Triple Eight Race Engineering. Along with Australian motor racing driver Paul Morris, he became one of the only two drivers to have won all three major car racing events at Mount Panorama: the Bathurst 1000, Bathurst 6 Hour, and Bathurst 12 Hour.

With this, he became the first driver since Indy car racer Johnny Rutherford in the second 1963 Daytona 500 qualifier to win his debut race, the first New Zealander to win in the Cup Series, and the 6th driver born outside the United States to win a Cup Series race. He also became the first “road course ringer” to win a Cup Series race since Mark Donohue in 1973.
- Alongside Marvin Burke, Shane van Gisbergen became one of two drivers to have a perfect winning record in NASCAR.
