Shiva Rajkumar is an Indian actor, film producer, and TV presenter who has predominantly worked in films made in the Kannada language. As of August 2022, in a career spanning more than 3 decades, he had acted in more than 120 movies and won the Karnataka State Award (4 times), the Filmfare Awards South (4 times), and the SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards) (thrice) in the category of ‘Best Actor’. In 2010, he made his TV debut with the talk show Naaniruvude Nimagagi. He has also produced a few TV serials and web series.

Shiva did most of his schooling in T. Nagar, Chennai, and later attended The New College, an institution of higher education in Chennai. After his high school graduation, he joined the University of Madras, a public state university in Chennai. He graduated from there with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.
Upon the insistence of renowned filmmaker and playwright K. Balachander, he joined the M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute, Asia’s first-ever film & television training institute, situated in Chennai. He also underwent training in Kuchipudi (one of the eight major Indian classical dances) during his college days.
