  1. He received the National Award for ‘Best Child Artist’ at the 42nd National Film Awards for his stirring performance as Kotra in the 1994 film, Kotreshi Kanasu.
  2. He got his nickname Chinnari Mutha after his breakout role in the 1993 National Award-winning film of the same name. The movie made an overnight star out of Vijay and earned him the ‘Best Child Actor’ award at the 1993-94 Karnataka State Film Awards.
  3. In 2013, he participated in Bigg Boss Kannada 1 as one of the show’s contestants and emerged as the winner of the reality show in June 2013 by defeating the runner-up, art director Arun Sagar.
  4.
