Tari Eason is an American professional basketball player who has represented the Houston Rockets (2022-Present) as a power forward/small forward, in the NBA (National Basketball Association). He was selected 17th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 1st round of the 2022 NBA Draft. Tari was included in the ‘NBA All-Rookie Second Team (2023)’.

Tari had attended the James A. Garfield High School, a public school located in Seattle, Washington, United States. For his high school junior year, he took a transfer to the Federal Way High School, a public school located in Federal Way, a city in King County, Washington.
After his high school graduation, he joined the University of Cincinnati, a public research university in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is the oldest institution of higher education in Cincinnati and the 2nd largest university in the state of Ohio. There, between 2020 and 2021, he represented the Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball team.
For his university sophomore year, Tari transferred to the Louisiana State University (LSU), a public land-grant research university in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. There, between 2021 and 2022, he represented the LSU Tigers men’s basketball team. In March 2022, Tari declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, thus foregoing the rest of his collegiate eligibility. While at LSU, he majored in interdisciplinary studies.
