  4. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was ranked as the top international free agent by Baseball America when he was eligible for free agency in 2015 and was ranked as the fourth-best by MLB.com.
  5. He was 16 years old when he signed a $3.9 million deal with the Toronto Blue Jays on July 2, 2015.
  6. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has used the English language to speak with his Blue Jays teammates and team staff but has given media interviews, including the one on the field after winning the 2021 All-Star Game MVP, in Spanish with the help of the team’s interpreter. In 2019, he stated, “I’m trying to learn as quickly as possible so I can talk to fans.”
