The couple eventually got divorced in October 1997.
2. Florian Haertel (1997–2013) – Alex had first met German writer and freelance journalist Florian Haertel in December 1997, on a blind date set up by friends. They got married on December 29, 1998, and have a daughter together named Salome Violetta Haertel (b. March 28, 2001). They parted ways in 2009 and Florian then sued Alex for dissolution of the marriage in October that year. Their divorce was finalized in 2013.
