  1. Michael Butler – Hepburn was reported to have dated American theatrical producer Michael Butler in the early 1950s. It is also rumored that he was influential in her accepting role in the New York production of the play, Ondine.
  2. James Hanson (1952-1953) – Hepburn got engaged to industrialist James Hanson in 1952. They had been dating for quite some time and they had known each other since her early days in London. It was love at first sight for her. However, after she had got the wedding dress fitted and the date had been decided, she realized the marriage wasn’t the right idea as they would have to spend a lot of time apart due to their work commitments, which would make it difficult for them to make their marriage work.

  1. At the end of German occupation, she was 16 years old and suffered from severe malnutrition, weighing just 88 pounds. She was also suffering from acute anemia, jaundice, asthma, and edema.
  2. In 1995, the Empire Magazine placed her at #8 on the list of “100 Sexiest Stars in Film History”.
  3. In 1997, the British edition of the Empire Magazine had her at the 50th spot in the list of “The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time”.
