As a member of Backstreet Boys, Brian released his debut studio album, Backstreet Boys, on May 6, 1996. The album peaked at number 1 on music charts in countries like Austria, Canada, Germany, and Switzerland.

  1. Brian started his singing journey by joining the choir at the Porter Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington.
  2. He later joined his high school choir and also began acting in the school production of Grease in which he was cast as Roger.
  3. He played basketball in both Little League and the Babe Ruth League and at the age of 15, he aspired to become a basketball player for Kentucky Wildcats.
  4. He struggled with his dream of becoming a basketball player because of his short height.
  5. While continuing his studies at school, he also worked at the Long John Silver’s restaurant and also occasionally performed at weddings.
  6. Realizing that he had no future in basketball, Brian planned to attend Cincinnati Bible College on a full scholarship to become a music minister as music was equally important to him. He, however, dropped that plan in order to join the Backstreet Boys.
  7. In 1998, he went through a cardiac surgery to correct the congenital heart defect which he had had since his birth.
  8. Brian is the founder of the Healthy Heart Club, a non-profit organization that supports children with heart conditions through medical, financial, and practical aid.

Now this is the most successful band with more than 130 million records sold all around the world. The band was named after a flea market in Orlando, the “backstreet flea market”. In 2019, BB has more than 50 concerts in the US with their DNA US tour.
