Colin Furze Facts

  1. By the time he had left school at the age of 16, Colin had already started making his own underground dens and treehouses. For the next decade or so, he worked as a plumber. However, once he discovered YouTube in 2007, shortly after his father’s death, he started sharing his inventions via the platform starting off with his wall of death ramp.
  2. In October 2008, he had broken a world record by building a 14.26-meter long motorbike. To prove that his prototype worked, he even rode it for 100 meters.
  3. In March 2010, he was arrested by the local Lincolnshire Police on charges of possessing an illegal firearm. It was actually an object that he had converted into a firearm during his experiments. Exactly 4 years later, he had fitted a pram with a motor engine in an attempt to create the world’s faster pram. The machine managed to reach a top speed of 30 mph (48 km/h).
  4. He is known for celebrating major YouTube subscriber milestones with increasingly extravagant firework stunts.
  5. In March 2017, he had managed to restore a 1960s dodgem and fitted it with a 600cc sports-bike engine which gave it a top speed of 107.390 mph (172.827 km/h). Guinness World Records had approved it as the world’s fastest bumper car at that time.
