  2. Dean has coached several well-known swimmers including Ariarne Titmus, Elijah Winnington, Mitch Larkin, Meg Harris, Mollie O’Callaghan, Abbey Harkin, and Clyde Lewis.
  3. He is the coach for the St. Peters Western Brisbane-based swim club, which includes successful alumni such as Olympians Stephanie Rice and Leisel Jones.
  4. Dean gained fame for his contribution as the coach for Ariarne Titmus who won a gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle at the 2020 Summer Olympics. A video of his reaction to Ariarne winning a gold medal circulating on the internet won the title of the 2021 Swammy Award for “Viral Video of the Year”.
