- Dushara Vijayan won the Miss Face of Chennai in 2017 as well as became the Miss South India second runner-up the same year.
- She made her first theatrical film appearance by playing the role of Janani in the Tamil action thriller film Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari in 2019. She co-starred in the film alongside Dheeraj, Pradaini Surva, Radha Ravi, Mime Gopi, and Charle.
- Along with Arya, Pasupathy, John Kokken, Kalaiyarasan, Shabeer Kallarakkal, John Vijay, Santhosh Prathap, and Anupama Kumar, Dushara Vijayan co-starred as Mariyamma (Kabilan’s wife who is a feisty woman from 1970s Madras) in the Tamil-language period sports action film Sarpatta Parambarai in 2021.
