On November 4, 2008, George Hill made his NBA debut for the San Antonio Spurs in the third game of the season against the Dallas Mavericks.
He played his first professional match for Indiana Pacers against Detroit Pistons on December 26, 2011, in a 91 to 79 victory.

- While playing for IUPUI university, he was named the player of the year by Summit League and in his junior year, he was given Honorable Mention All-American.
