GOT7 released its first studio album Identify in November 2014. The album peaked at the number 1 spot on Korean music charts and at number 6 on Billboard Music Charts.
Their first extended play Got It? released in January 2014 and was a huge success in the United States where it peaked at number 1 on Billboard chart.
Some of their best-known songs include Lullaby, Hard Carry, Fly, Just Right, Look, and many more.
GOT7 Facts
- JB and Jinyoung were the first to be cast by JYP Entertainment in 2009 and the last one to join was Youngjae in 2013.
- Before GOT7, JB and Jinyoung were part of a musical duo “JJ Project” under the same agency.
- As of 2018, GOT7 is a 7-member band with all the original members.
- In January 2015, GOT7 was awarded ‘New Artist Award’ at the 29th Golden Disc Awards and at the 24th Seoul Music Awards.
- Youku Tudou and JYP Pictures co-produced a web drama Dream Knight in 2015, starring GOT7.
- Most of the group members have moles on their faces.
- All the members can speak Japanese and made their official debut in Japan on April 4, 2014.
- Their first Japanese single Around the World released in October 2014 and peaked at number 3 on the Oricon Singles Chart and went on to sell more than 43,000 copies in its 3-week run.
- In January 2021, it was announced that the group was parting ways with their agency, JYP Entertainment after their contract had expired.
