- As he graduated high school, Jayden Daniels was considered a 4-star recruit in California and was ranked number two in the nation for dual-threat quarterbacks.
- After graduating high school, he committed to play for Arizona State University on December 13, 2018.
- In 2019, Jayden Daniels was an honorable mention for the Pac-12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year.
- At the 2019 Sun Bowl, he led the Arizona State Sun Devils to a 20–14 victory.
- Jayden Daniels started all 4 games in a shortened 2020 season and led his side to a 2–2 record.
