Jun Hyo-seong is a South Korean singer, musician, dancer, actor, television personality, model, and host who debuted as a member of the girl group Secret in 2009. She served as the group’s leader, main dancer, lead vocalist, and its face and her fellow Secret members included Song Ji-eun, Han Sun-hwa, and Jung Ha-na. - Her name ‘Hyo-seong’ is derived from the word ‘유성’ which means ‘meteor’ in Korean. She was given this name because her father and maternal grandmother saw a shooting star across the sky on the day of her birth.
- Owing to the financial struggles faced by her family, they used to earn extra money by delivering newspapers every morning since Jun Hyo-seong was in 3rd grade.
- Jun Hyo-seong took an interest in singing and dancing ever since she was a child but it wasn’t until she was in 6th grade that she decided to become a singer. She once stated, “I liked performing for others since I was little. I danced things to songs like Fin.K.L and SES at my friends’ birthday parties. In 6th grade, I decided that I really wanted to become a singer, and all of my friends helped me try to make that dream come true.”
