Kamal Haasan is an Indian actor, dancer, director, writer who is widely known for his work in Tamil cinema but has also worked in various language films like Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, etc. He is also a film producer and has his own production house named Raaj Kamal Films International, which has produced many of his films. Often considered to be a complete actor, he is known to take risks and make experimental films with great VFX. His career began in 1960 as a child artist with the film Kalathur Kannamma and he got his breakthrough as a lead actor in 1975 with Apoorva Raagangal. He also launched his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam in 2018.
