Best Known For

  • The popularity of his studio album, Many More Roads, which was nominated for the Grammy Awards for the best reggae album. However, he ultimately lost to his half-brother Damian Marley’s album, Halfway Tree.
  • The commercial success of his studio album, Radio. The album managed to reach the very top of the Billboard Reggae Charts in October 2007.

  1. He spent his early childhood in the poor neighborhood of Falmouth, Jamaica. He and his mother didn’t get financial support from his famous father.
  2. After Bob Marley’s death, he didn’t receive any financial help from his father’s estate until he had turned 18.
  3. At the age of 9, he and his mother moved to Miami. In Miami, they lived in the crime-ridden neighborhood, where he used to watch people getting shot from his window.
  4. While he was studying in middle school, he started peddling drugs.
  5. While growing up, he didn’t have much interest in music and his first love was sports. Under his mother’s influence, he eventually got enrolled in guitar and piano classes.
  6. While studying in high school, he used to play trumpet in his school’s band. He also competed in American football and soccer.
  7. He started deejaying and rapping in his teens. His first single was Unnecessary Badness.
  8. He got interested in singing after he was asked to sing a hook during a recording session in a Miami-based studio.
  9. Early in his singing career, he often experimented with laying tracks. He also used to work with his brothers Damian, Julian, and Stephen.
  10. In April 2010, he published his biographical book, Dear Dad: Where’s the Family in Our Family, Today? In the book, he talked about his struggle. After the release of the book, he was locked in a dispute with the publishers for using provocative subheading, The Story the Marley Family Apparently Doesn’t Want You to Know. He termed it a malicious act.
  11. He has established his non-profit organization, Love Over All Foundation (LOAF). Through the organization, he aims to improve the condition of school children in his hometown of Falmouth.

  1. Julian Marley was born in England- his parents are Lucy Pounder and Bob Marley. He is a reggae musician and currently has a Grammy nomination for his latest album “As I Am”. He also has a brand named Juju Royal Marley Ultra Premium brand. His music band is called Julian Marley and the Uprising band. He also works a lot with his sister Princess Booker who owns a clothing called Nine Mile Clothing. Julian currently lives in Miami, Florida and it is said that he is very close to all of his brother, but especially Stephen and Damian.

    Julian had a total of 6 children, but now only has 5 children: 3 children Jacob Marley, Tsafari Marley and Tia Marley from a woman named Sabrina. 2 children Royal Marley and Caveri Marley from a woman named Teeana Woolcock. And 1 son Josiah Marley from a woman named Taneish. Unfortunately, his daughter Caveri Marley died of brain cancer/glioma in June of 2019. She was diagnosed with cancer back in October of 2018 and lost her battle with cancer just 8 months later. He had announced it via his Instagram social media in September of 2019. He is currently working with CBD organizations/companies to try and help other families with children that have cancer as well.

    Julian is currently in a very private relationship with a Hawaiian woman named Shayna Lehua Medeiros. She is from Maui. It is said that they are happy together and have been together for about 1 year now. They have done a good job at keeping their relationship hidden and extremely private.

  2. Rohan Marley is another son of Bob Marley. He is a retired successful NFL football player and is one of the only sons of Bob Marley who hasn’t pursued music as a career.

    Rohan has a total of 8 children (4 sons, 4 daughters). Eden Marley and Nico Marley with a woman named Geraldine Khawly. Zion Marley, Sarah Marley, Selah Marley, John Marley and Joshua Marley with talented musician Lauryn Hill. And a newborn daughter Maria Marley with his current wife Barbara Fialho Marley. Barbara is a Brazilian Victoria’s Secret model and she also is a musician. She recorded a song with Rohan’s nephew (Stephen Marley’s son) Jo Mersa Marley called “Um Beijo”. Rohan and Barbara were together for about 4 or 5 years before they got married in Brazil in March of 2019. However they still keep their relationship somewhat private.

    Rohan currently works with family company “Marley Coffee.” He is the president of an organization called “Protect Lions”. He also has had a reality show out called “a Taste of Marley” that hasn’t been aired in the U.S. just yet. He lives in Miami, Florida as well and keeps a close relationship with his brothers. He travels a lot for work and has a very busy work and family life.
