Julian Marley Facts

  1. Julian had traveled to Israel and performed shows there when he was just 13 years old.
  2. In 2008, the Jamaican government had invited him and his band Uprising to represent Jamaica at the Beijing Olympics and perform there.
  3. In February 2010, he and his younger half-brother Ky-Mani Marley had produced a benefit show called Miami for Haiti to raise funds for relief efforts after the Caribbean country had been ravaged by an earthquake.
  4. In the mid and late 2010s, he and most of his musician half-brothers had performed at several ‘Africa Unite’ concerts.
  5. His 3rd and 4th albums, titled Awake and As I Am, released 10 years apart, were both nominated for a Grammy Award in the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category.
