Le Sserafim is a South Korean girl group formed by Source Music and Hybe Corporation. The group’s discography consists of various extended plays and tracks such as Fearless, Sour Grapes, Antifragile, The World Is My Oyster, The Great Mermaid, The Hydra, Blue Flame, Impurities, Good Parts (When the Quality Is Bad but I Am), and No Celestial. Although the group debuted as a sextet (comprising of Kazuha, Kim Chae-won, Kim Ga-ram, Sakura Miyawaki, Huh Yun-jin, and Hong Eun-chae), it later became a quintet after Kim Ga-ram left the group on July 20, 2022, following a bullying controversy and the termination of her exclusive contract.

On May 2, 2022, Le Sserafim debuted with the release of its first extended play Fearless and it includes songs like Blue Flame, Fearless, The World Is My Oyster, Sour Grapes, and The Great Mermaid. The EP peaked at #1 on the Japanese Hot Albums (Billboard Japan) chart, at #2 on the South Korean Albums (Gaon) chart, at #3 on the Japanese Albums (Oricon) chart, and at #37 on the Hungarian Albums (MAHASZ) chart. Also, it was certified as ‘Platinum’ in South Korea.

In May 2023, Le Sserafim released its first full-length album titled Unforgiven. With this album, the group broke the record for highest 1st-day sales by a female K-Pop artist after Unforgiven sold 1,024,034 copies on the first day of its release.

Le Sserafim Facts

1. The group’s name “Le Sserafim” is an anagram of the phrase “I’m Fearless”.
2. It was announced by Source Music on March 14, 2022, that they would launch a new girl group, with Sakura and Kim Chae-won as the initial members. Then, on March 21, 2022, it was revealed that the group would officially debut in May 2022.
3. Following the announcements, Le Sserafim‘s members were revealed in “The First Moment of Le Sserafim” teasers from April 4, 2022, to April 9, 2022, (in order: Sakura Miyawaki, Kim Ga-ram, Hong Eun-chae, Kim Chae-won, Kazuha, and Huh Yun-jin).
4. Le Sserafim released its 2nd extended play Antifragile on October 17, 2022, and it consists of the songs Antifragile, No Celestial, The Hydra, Good Parts (When the Quality Is Bad but I Am), and Impurities. The EP peaked at #1 on the US World Albums (Billboard) chart, Japanese Hot Albums (Billboard Japan) chart, Japanese Combined Albums (Oricon) chart, and Japanese Albums (Oricon) chart; at #2 on the South Korean Albums (Circle) chart; and at #14 on the US Billboard 200 chart. It was certified as ‘3× Platinum’ in South Korea.
5. Antifragile was the first release of Le Sserafim as a quintet after the departure of Kim Ga-ram in July 2022.
6. Le Sserafim has been a part of many other projects such as Le Sserafim – The World Is My Oyster, Day Off, Day Off 2 in Jeju, and Leniverse.
7. The girl group has won several accolades including the Asia Artist Award, Golden Disc Award, Seoul Music Award, and Melon Music Award.
8. On January 25, 2023, Le Sserafim released its first Japanese single titled Fearless. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart and Oricon Singles Chart.
9. In October 2023, Le Sserafim released a new single titled Perfect Night.
10. In February 2024, Le Sserafim released a new mini album titled Easy.
