  1. He joined the theater group called Kwangto, an acronym of Kwangdae Tokkaebi referring to traditional performers and hobgoblins in Korean, as a senior in high school. It was then that Lim Ju-hwan got his initial experience in theatrical performances.
  2. He started his professional pursuits as a model.
  3. In 2009, he co-starred as Park Gyu in the television series Tamra, the Island. For this performance, he bagged the 17th Korean Culture and Entertainment Award for “Best New Actor” and was also nominated for an MBC Drama Award.
  4. Lim Ju-hwan enlisted for his mandatory military service in 2011 and, subsequently, during basic training, he fainted due to heart problems. This resulted in a 3-month hospitalization and he was given the option for an early discharge. However, he decided to complete his service.
  5. He appeared as Gong Joon-soo in the romantic drama television series Ugly Alert in 2013. This role won him the “New Star Award” at the SBS Drama Awards in 2013.
  6. Alongside Park Bo-young, Jo Jung-suk, and Kim Seul-gi, Lim Ju-hwan co-starred as Choi Sung-jae, a kind police officer who is possessed by an evil spirit, in the romantic thriller comedy-drama series Oh My Ghost in 2015.
  7. In 2019, he was cast as Fukuda (32 years old) in the historical melodrama television series Different Dreams and this got him nominated for an MBC Drama Award in the “Excellence Award, Actor in a Monday-Tuesday Miniseries” category.
  8. Lim Ju-hwan received the 14th Asia Model Award for the “Korean Model Star” in 2019.
  9. In 2020, he brought to life the character of Gu Do-kyung, a forensic expert who is a perfectionist and digs through every case, in the crime mystery television series The Game: Towards Zero. For this performance, he bagged the 39th MBC Drama Award in the “Excellence Award, Actor in a Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries” category.
  10. Alongside Eric Mun and Yoo In-na, Lim Ju-hwan co-starred as Derek Hyun, Kang Ah-Reum’s 2nd husband and a cold-blooded industrial spy who works as the CEO of an industrial spy agency, in the romantic action-comedy television series The Spies Who Loved Me in 2020. This role won him the 39th MBC Drama Award in the “Excellence Award, Actor in a Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries” category.
