Lindsay Czarniak is an American sports anchor and reporter who works as a studio host for Fox Sports NASCAR coverage. She worked for the NBC owned and operated station WRC-TV for 6 years before joining ESPN as a SportsCenter anchor in August 2011.   1. Her father spent 17 years working in a local newspaper’s sports department.
  2. She was a member of the sorority “Sigma Kappa”, a sorority founded in 1874 at Colby College, Waterville, Maine.
  3. Before taking a spot in the broadcasting industry as a professional news anchor and reporter, she started out as an intern for WUSA in Washington, D.C., then landed a job as a production assistant for CNN.
  4. Her first on-air appearance and role as a news reporter took place while she was working with WAWS, a fox-affiliated TV station licensed to Jacksonville, Florida.
  5. On May 22, 2008, she made a guest appearance on the edition of The Tony Kornheiser Show, occupying the “chick chair”. At the time, she revealed a humorous anecdote of being arrested for expired license plates by the DC Police on her way to a News 4 interview, which appeared to be a public service warning for anyone who would be visiting Washington, D.C.
  6. On July 17, 2008, she was honored at the Reading Phillies at Baysox doubleheader during which she made her first pitch. At the time, she had also signed autographs during a meet and greet session.
  7. On July 23, 2011, it was announced that she would leave NBC 4 Washington to work at ESPN. She then made her final broadcast as a sports reporter at WRC-TV on July 13th before finally making her SportsCenter debut on August 19, 2011. Her contract with ESPN expired in August 2017.
  8. In February 2018, Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Czarniak would be joining the professional stock car racing team to produce digital content during the Daytona 500 with features on each of the team’s four Monster Energy Cup Series racers.
  9. On February 5, 2019, Czarniak signed a deal with Fox Sports as a studio host for their NASCAR coverage.
  10. She appeared in the 2000 independent action film Aquarius, where she portrayed a character named Mist. In 2009, she also made a cameo in the Chris Cooley-produced indie film called Ghosts Don’t Exist.
