Patrice Evra Facts

  1. Born in Senegal, Patrice’s family relocated to Europe when he was just 1 year old. He returned to Senegal for a short while when he was 10 years old but his family decided to settle in France permanently after that.
  2. Ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, he had suffered racial abuse from Senegalese supporters because they felt he should have represented his home nation of Senegal instead of France.
  3. He is allergic to eggs and only came to know about this condition during a medical examination while he was plying his trade for Italian club Juventus FC.
  4. A polyglot, he is fluent in French, English, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
  5. In November 2017, he was banned from UEFA competitions for 7 months after he was found guilty of kicking a fan just before a UEFA Europa League match.
