- In January 1997, he was arrested in Los Angeles, after his then-wife, Maeve Quinlan, called police claiming she’d been physically injured by Tom during an argument at their apartment.
- For his role as Technical Sergeant Mike Horvath in the 1998 epic war film titled Saving Private Ryan, Tom Sizemore was nominated for a Golden Satellite Award for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture – Drama”.
- He had been trained in Jiu-Jitsu and weightlifting.
- He was arrested for misdemeanor drug possession of “various illegal narcotics” in Burbank, California on January 5, 2019.
- In February 2023, Tom suffered a brain aneurysm at his home at around 2 a.m. and fell unconscious. He was later hospitalized and was in intensive care. Later that month, it was revealed that he was in a coma and doctors had recommended an end-of-life decision as there was “no further hope.” He passed away on March 3, 2023.
