1. The commentator always knew she wanted to work in the media industry since early childhood. She mentioned organizing a cooking show with her cousins, where they used Play-Doh instead of food. Tomi would not only play host but would record the entire event on a camcorder to make her parents watch it afterward.
2. During her undergraduate program, Tomi hosted and associate produced the university’s political roundtable show called The Scramble. She also gained her first internship working for Republican Congresswoman Kristi Noem from South Dakota.
3. After graduating from college, Tomi applied to One America News Network, hoping to gain another internship. Instead, she got the opportunity to host her own show called On Point with Tomi Lahren that debuted in August 2014 when she was just 22 years old.
4. In November 2015, Tomi moved to Texas to work for the premium subscription network called TheBlaze. She was fired in March 2017 by the TheBlaze owner, Glenn Beck for stating that women should have access to abortion during her appearance on The View aired 17 March 2017. Lahren filed for a wrongful termination suit and eventually settled the case outside court.
5. She joined Fox News as a contributor in August 2017 and started hosting a talk show called First Thoughts for Fox Nation, the online subscription service. For this segment, the network created a home TV studio at Lahren’s residence as a concession for Los Angeles traffic.
6. In 2015, she bought a rescue pet from a Dallas Shelter. It’s a female chihuahua mix named Kota.
