- In 2015, he was cast as Narayan Patwari in the Telugu-language drama film Jyothi Lakshmi, loosely based on the 1991 Hindi film Sadak. For this performance, he was nominated at the 1st IIFA Utsavam in the “Best Performance In a Negative Role” category.
- Ghosh appeared as a dacoit in the 2017 epic action film Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the follow-up to Baahubali: The Beginning.
- He played Garudaraja Bhattadhri, a powerful magician in Kerala, in the 2019 Telugu-language horror comedy film Raju Gari Gadhi 3. It is the 3rd installment in the Raju Gari Gadhi film series and this role won Ajay Ghosh the 9th South Indian International Movie Award for “Best Comedian – Telugu” in 2021.
