- She spent most of her early years in New York and North Carolina.
- In 2002, Alexis, her grandmother, and her mother were involved in a serious car accident. Her mother who was driving at the time lost control of her car after going into a patch of slush and hit a dump truck. The family was immediately rushed to the hospital where 7-year-old Alexis was treated for a broken femur, fractured jaw, and multiple cuts. According to Alexis, she had gotten more than 400 stitches on her head.
- Following the accident, proper therapy helped Alexis get back on her feet after which, she and her family relocated to North Carolina from New York. Both, her grandmother and mother also survived the life-threatening ordeal.
- Alexis had worked at McDonald’s in the past.
