  1. He spent his childhood years growing up in Kingston, Jamaica.
  2. He got inclined toward music at a young age and when he was in high school, he decided to pursue music.
  3. With help from his close friends, Alkaline used to visit local recording studios after school whenever he got the chance.
  4. He was 16 years old when he started recording music under the stage name “Alkaline”.
  5. He was in school when he composed many songs such as Proof, Mi Love Woman, Reflections, and Missing You. He used to make music videos on school grounds and in the streets of Jamaica along with his close friends.
  6. Owing to his musical talent and huge controversial relevancy, Alkaline emerged as one of the young hot acts in the Dancehall space in Jamaica.
  7. On March 25, 2016, he released his debut album titled New Level Unlocked.
  8. In 2017, Alkaline created a show called New Rules Festival and it became one of the most anticipated shows of the year. It featured artists like Mavado, Shaggy, I-Octane, Tarrus Riley, and others. The show turned out to be one of the biggest turnouts on a Jamaican stage show with several attendees stating that “New Rules” was one of Dancehall’s greatest shows ever which would definitely go down in history.
  9. In July 2017, he attended Reggae Sumfest (the largest music festival in Jamaica and the Caribbean taking place each year in mid-July in Montego Bay). Performing on the show for the first time since 2014, he made a huge comeback as one of the main performers as he featured the legendary Dean Fraser.
  10. Alkaline’s second New Rules show was held in Amazura in Queens, New York on September 8, 2018.
  11. His track titled With the Thing was featured on the video game Grand Theft Auto V with the “iFruit Radio” soundtrack.
  12. His 3rd New Rules Festival was held at the Miramar Regional Amphitheater in Miami, Florida on March 27, 2022. He headlined the show along with featuring acts like Mavado, Kranium, and Wayne Wonder.
  13. The New Rules Festival took place in Kingston, Jamaica at the national stadium car park on July 2, 2022.
  14. Alkaline was caught in a controversy with his alleged tattooed eyes as many people started following suit. He went on to claim that he had Corneal tattooing on his eyeballs. Although this move attracted backlash, it caught the attention of the public as a publicity stunt and he gained a huge number of followers. He later revealed that the alleged “tattoos” were nothing but a mere stunt.
  15. As a featured artist, Alkaline has been a part of a number of songs such as Formula (Remix) by French Montana, Txtin’ by WSTRN, Nonchalant by A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Fuego by Keith Sweat, No Negative Vibes by Walshy Fire, Just The Style by Kranium, and Incognito by Stalk Ashley.
