Dresta aka Dresta Tha Gangsta is an American rapper who rose to fame after collaborating with fellow rapper Eazy-E for the 1993 single Real Muthaphuckkin G’s. Aside from that, Dresta is also the older brother of B.G. Knocc Out.

- He was brought up in Nutty Blocc in Compton, California.
- Dresta and his brother became members of the Nutty Blocc Compton Crips street gang in the past. During that time, Dresta was sentenced to prison time for having assaulted another gang member in the Compton area in 1988 and was released in 1993, from the California Youth Authority in Camarillo.
- It was during his 5-year sentence that Dresta started to take an interest in writing lyrics and rapping.
- He released his debut EP titled It’s On (
Dr. Dre) 187um Killa alongside his brother in 1993, with fellow rapper Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records. The EP included their hit single Real Muthaphuckkin G’s.   - On August 15, 1995, Dresta co-released his debut album with B.G. Knocc Out titled Real Brothas.
- Dresta was involved in a gang shooting that took place on January 14, 1994, in the parking lot of 2200 block of East 114th Street at 6:30 pm, where a total of 25 shots were fired. 6 of which hit a fellow gang member named Tyrone Thomas who died on the spot and Dresta was admitted to Martin Luther King, Jr. Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center, after sustaining a gunshot wound to his left arm. The shooting led to Dresta being given one-year probation if he choose to plea bargain.
