Gayathri Raghuram is an Indian actor, director, choreographer, dancer, reality television personality, and politician. She has been cast in a number of Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada language movies like Manasella Neene, Charlie Chaplin, Rang De, Yaadhumagi Nindraai, Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari, Whistle, Vai Raja Vai, Maa Bapu Bommaku Pellanta, Style, Parasuram, Idhu Enna Maayam, Tharai Thappattai, Vikadan, Vaanam, Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi, Love Failure, and Aruvam. - Deepak Chandrasekhar (2006-2008) – She got married to US-based software engineer Deepak Chandrasekar in California in August 2006. It was an arranged marriage and they subsequently held a Hindu ceremony in December 2006 which was attended by several actors and politicians from Tamil Nadu. However, in 2008, Gayathri filed for divorce on the grounds of domestic abuse from Deepak and his parents. The divorce was finalized in 2010.
