1. Hugh Laurie is an avid motorcyclist and apart from the thrill of flying on a good bike, he prefers a motorcycle because he loves the anonymity a motorcycle helmet provides.
2. He got his first motorcycle at the age of 16. It was a present from his dad. Soon after, he had an accident, which put him in a wheelchair for weeks.
3. In his college days, he was very good at rowing and in 1977, even managed to win National Junior Championship for rowing (coxed pair).
