Hyunji is a South Korean singer, musician, performer, dancer, and actor who has served as the lead vocalist of the South Korean girl group HashTag (stylized as haShtag or HASHTAG). Formed by Luk Factory, the group made its debut on October 11, 2017, with the release of the extended play The girl next door. HashTag‘s discography also includes other extended plays and tracks such as #Aeji #paSsion, My Style (어때보여), Freesm, Like That (그런거), When It Rains (비가 내리면), Hz, Love Game, and Hello This Night (안녕이밤). In addition to that, Hyunji was a member of the 5-member girl group Peach Girl which debuted on November 26, 2013, with its only single Fox-fur Muffler, before disbanding the following year.

- From 2013 to 2014, she was a member of the girl group Peach Girl. Formed by JM Star Entertainment, the group’s other members were Mimi, Bogyeong, Somang, and Yuka.
- Hyunji was cast as a nurse in the 2017 comedy film Daddy You, Daughter Me. Based on the 2006 Japanese novel Papa to Musume no Nanokakan by Takahisa Igarashi, the film stars Yoon Je-moon and Jung So-min.
- Along with Ryu Hwa-young, Hyunji co-starred in the drama series Trace of the Hand in 2017.
- On September 19, 2017, she was revealed as the 2nd member of the 5-member girl group HashTag.
