Issa Rae is an American actress, producer, director, writer, and web series creator, best known for her YouTube series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl (2011-2013) that she created, wrote, directed, and starred in as the character named J. However, once she saw herself on TV, Issa realized that she needs to make time for herself and that working out was an important way to nurture her body, both physically and psychologically.
