  2. He started playing basketball at an early age and could play the sport “for hours” at the age of 3. When he was 6 years old, he played in a league for 10-year-olds.
  3. A born athlete, Jamal Murray started playing pick-up games against top high school and college players when he was around 12-13 years old.
  4. He participated in a number of basketball drills and kung fu exercises, including meditation.
  5. Jamal Murray was named MVP at the 2013 Jordan Brand Classic International Game, becoming the 2nd Canadian after Duane Notice to win the award.
  6. At the 2013 FIBA Americas Under-16 Championship in Uruguay, he represented Canada and averaged 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game, leading the team to a bronze medal.
  7. He was part of the Canadian national team at the 2015 Pan American Games and helped the team win a silver medal.
