  1. He has served as one of the directors of Temple Enterprise. The company was founded in 2004 and has been involved in the trade of agricultural products. In October 2016, the company shut down its operations.
  2. In 2009, Jay Shah started serving as an executive board member of the Central Board of Cricket, Ahmedabad.
  3. His father was exiled from Gujarat from the years 2010 to 2012.
  4. Jay Shah was appointed as the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) in September 2013. Along with his father Amit Shah (who was GCA president at the time), he oversaw GCA’s construction of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during his tenure. In September 2019, he stepped down from his position as the joint secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA).
  5. In 2015, he was appointed as a member of the finance and marketing committees of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
  6. In the year 2017, Jay Shah filed a criminal defamation case and a civil lawsuit of ₹100 crore against the editors of The Wire after they had reported in an October 2017 article titled The Golden Touch of Jay Amit Shah that Shah’s company’s revenue increased 16,000 times one year after Narendra Modi became the Indian Prime Minister. The Gujarat High Court restored a gag order in 2018. The Wire withdrew its appeal against the criminal defamation case in August 2019 and announced that it would stand trial, with Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra ordering that the trial be completed “as expeditiously as possible”.
  7. He was elected as the secretary of BCCI for a one-and-a-half-year term in October 2019. Subsequently, the BCCI selected Shah in December 2019 as its representative for future CEC meetings of the International Cricket Council.
  8. Jay Shah was appointed as president by the Asian Cricket Council in January 2021.
  9. He was featured in an episode of History TV18’s documentary titled Modern Marvels in 2021.
  10. He has accrued a decent social media fan base with more than 500k followers on Instagram.
